Spectacular! Everyone was super helpful.

At the Program The amount of English the kids spoke..it was awesome.
At the Accommodations The three girls living here, became good friends with them.
About the country The outgoing nature of the kids everywhere.
What was the most difficult to experience?
At the Program Coming up with lessons plans.
At the Accommodations absolutely no difficulties
About the country The stares and attention from the locals can be a little uncomfortable at times.
Any tips for future volunteers?
Bring any and old clothing to leave behind, bring candies and sweets for the kids.
Keep an open mind.
Visit Kampala and walk around!

I had an incredible experience in Uganda. I met the sweetest kids and made lifelong friends. It has been unreal.
How would you describe your accommodations, meals, personal security?
The house security guard was amazing. I always felt safe. Accommodations were perfect, meals were starchy but delicious.
What was your favorite memory of this trip?
Making friendship bracelets with the kids.
Getting to visit downtown Kampala and walking around.
How was the ABV USA support prior to traveling?
They were extremely helpful, quick to respond and helped me put together a multi-country volunteer program in Tanzania and Uganda. I loved reading testimonials and the information provided before traveling was helpful and made me feel prepared for this trip!
