Nepal is a special place in this world. I have never seen people so happy. It’s a beautiful place; I would hope everyone would get the chances to visit.
1) How would you describe/rate the support provided by our in-country Coordinator
I would say it has been amazing. Everything and more has been provided for us; a welcoming place to stay, food and transportation. We have been treated like family and always felt safe.
2) What is your favorite memory of your trip?
We went exploring and decided to go for a hike nearby Changu. We came across a group of children and we danced with them. I’ll never forget that moment. My heart was so happy.
3) What was most personally challenging aspect of this program for you?
I didn’t really have any personal challenges; I wish I knew more of the language so I could immerse myself more.
4) Any tips for future volunteers… (Clothing, supplies, packing etc)
Be open to anything and everything. Brig clothes for all kinds of weather, you never know how you are going to feel. Bring a journal to write down your memories, as you will have many. Books and toys for kids.
