1- How was the local ABV Coordinator/staff and the support provided in-country?
The local staff and support was wonderful. They made me feel very welcome and were always available to help.
2- What was the most surprising thing you experienced?
Country: The way people drive and the rules of the road and how cows and other livestock wonder even on highways.
3- What was the most challenging thing you experienced?
Program: Sometimes the language barrier between me and the kids made it a bit more difficult but still enjoyable.
Country: Learning where to go in town since there aren’t really any street signs it can be more difficult to navigate.
4- Personal Paragraph about the experience:
This was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish for years to come. The time went by so quickly but I loved working with all of the different children and experiencing this amazing diverse culture. There is still more to see.
5- How would you describe your accommodation, meals, security, friendliness, quality others:
Everything was great. The food was always delicious and never did I feel unsafe or insecure. Everyone I met was friendly and welcoming and was an overall wonderful experience.
6- What was your favorite memory of this trip?:
Program: working with the children in daycare and seeing them learn and play.
Host Family: Diwali – it was amazing being able to spend that holiday with them and to be included in the family.
Country: Camel safari in the desert and exploring the culture was a wonderful adventure.
7- How was the ABV USA support prior traveling?
Good. Sarah worked with me and was able to answer all of my questions.
8- What do you think about the reservation system online?
It worked well
