1- How was the local ABV Coordinator and the support provided in-country?
Excellent! The coordinators answered any questions I ever had and always were checking in on me.
2- What was the most surprising thing you experienced?
Public transportation. Easy and safe but very different from the US
3- What was most difficult to experience?
The rain!
4- Any tips for future volunteers… (clothing, travel, personal items, donations)
If you´re coming during the rainy season, bring rain boots, umbrella, rain coat, etc.
5.1-Other things volunteers should know:
a. Always have an open mind
b. Be ready for anything
c. Learn the language while you´re here!
d. Taste all the foods.
