My perspective on life, as well as my heart, will never be the same after I return to the U.S. I will hold these children and this experience in me in everything I do. From choices I make to engagement in my community to a lifelong drive to serve the orphanage through volunteers and donations, this experience has molded me and will be a part of how I live daily.
1. How would you describe/rate the support provided by our in-country Coordinator & staff?
Helpful and supportive, genuinely kind and available to help.
2. What is your favorite memory of your trip?
Working individually with the children. Getting to know them consistently through immersion
3. What was most personally challenging aspect of this program for you?
Knowing the hardship the children must have endured during their short life.
4. Any tips for future volunteers… (clothing, sightseeing spots, tours, packing etc)
Pack for all weather, pack bug spray. come with an open heart and mind.
