I will be forever changed by this program. I will forever understand the blessings in my life. And act upon those situations that people are in where they are in fortunate than I. I honestly feel that my world has change.
1. How would you describe/rate the support provided by our in-country Coordinator & staff?
The staff from my observations has been amazing. They are both patient and kind with the children. They seem invested in their future. Being there they complete their homework is just one of the many examples for how they do so.
2. What is your favorite memory of your trip?
It is hard (very hard) to pick a favorite memory. Overall I just really enjoyed spending time with the children. Telling games and seeing the excitement in their faces is just priceless. I will miss it so much.
3. What was most personally challenging aspect of this program for you?
The most challenging part of this program was to personally see the injustice in the world. The emotions I felt through witnessing it firsthand has been intense. I haven’t felt yet, but that will also be one of the hardest part of this trip.
4. Any tips for future volunteers… (clothing, sightseeing spots, tours, packing etc)
Lots of sunscreen. Water bottle is a must. Also packing protein bar is helpful as well.
